About Us

Dr. Nathan (Nate) Templeton is a Professor (Full Rank) in the Department of Educational Administration at Texas A&M University Commerce. Dr. Templeton teaches master’s and doctoral level courses in K-12 administration and supervises doctoral research. In addition to supervising research and chairing doctoral dissertation committees, his course specialties are Educational Research for Effective Teaching, Program Evaluation, and Public School Law. Dr. Templeton serves as Director of the Meadows Principal Leadership Program, is an active researcher in the field of education policy and practice, has authored or co-authored more than 49 articles and book chapters, and presents research and professional development seminars both statewide and nationally.

Achievement Gaps

Templeton & Associates Consulting offers a wide range of services and interventions to address and reduce achievement gaps between student populations.  Specializing in targeted interventions for African American and Hispanic students, our firm will assist in aligning curricula and pedagogical methodologies to meet the needs of diverse student populations. Areas of pedagogical focus: Writing/Writer’s Workshop, Mathematics, and English Language Learners.

Education Policy & Practice

Templeton & Associates Consulting aligns theory with practice in a practitioner’s approach to developing policy and improving practice.  Areas of focus on practice: using research for best practice, disproportionate discipline, and human capital development.  Policy initiatives include a wide array of services, including but not limited to: program evaluation/assessment, Career and Technical Education (CTE) alignment, and development or revision of policy manuals.

Principal/Campus Leadership Development

Templeton & Associates Consulting uses research-based, data-driven protocols to build leadership capacity and leader efficacy for campus and aspiring campus administrators. Focus areas include mentoring, coaching, and the development of soft skills within the Emotional Intelligence paradigm.

Association of Title IX Administrators Title IX & Civil Rights Investigator

Thorough, reliable, and impartial investigations related to equity and equality, harassment, discrimination, and systemic compliance in PK-20 and corporate settings. Ancillary services include campus or district professional development workshops, compliance audits, and policy analysis and program evaluation.
