Achievement Gaps

Templeton & Associates Consulting offers a wide range of services and interventions to address and reduce achievement gaps between student populations.  Specializing in targeted interventions for African American and Hispanic students, our firm will assist in aligning curricula and pedagogical methodologies to meet the needs of diverse student populations. Areas of pedagogical focus: Writing/Writer’s Workshop, Mathematics, and English Language Learners.

Leadership Development Institute

A 30-hour intensive focus on advancing student achievement by developing and building capacity in principals and other school leaders.  LDI Is designed to:

  • Develop and align theoretical models of leadership with a focus on establishing a culture of high expectations and high achievement

  • Develop a working knowledge of Emotional Intelligence and the enhancement of soft skills

  • Impact professional growth and continuous learning

  • Inspire collective thinking and focused action

  • Engage models of change to empower others

  • Solve problems of practice using emergent research within the Action Research model

  • Integrate practitioner strategies to Develop, Motivate, and Evaluate staff

  • Understand trends in policy positions

 

Education Policy and Practice

Templeton & Associates Consulting aligns theory with practice in a practitioner’s approach to developing policy and improving practice.  Areas of focus on practice: using research for best practice, disproportionate discipline, and human capital development.  Policy initiatives include a wide array of services, including but not limited to: program evaluation/assessment, Career and Technical Education (CTE) alignment, and development or revision of policy manuals.

Advancing Educational Leadership

AEL is a 21-hour training (3 full days) required for TTESS appraisers in the state of Texas.  AEL is the prerequisite to T-TESS training. The intent of the AEL Training is to:

  • Develop the skills necessary for campus leaders to build and sustain positive, collaborative campus cultures focused on improving instruction and student performance.

  • Provide practical and relevant examples from the field with a balance of research to allow instructional leaders to engage in the difficult decisions and challenges faced by the 21st century school leader.

  • Increase awareness and understanding of soft skills and how they enhance an individual’s interactions, career prospects, and job performance. 

  • To introduce and illustrate the AEL interlocking themes and interwoven strands as a basis for creating and sustaining impact schools. 

*This service is available to Texas A&M University Commerce students enrolled in the principal preparation or principal certification programs.

(ATIXA) Title IX & Civil Rights Investigator

Thorough, reliable, and impartial investigations related to equity and equality, harassment, discrimination and systemic compliance in PK-20 and corporate settings. Ancillary services include campus or district professional development workshops, compliance audits, and policy analysis and program evaluation.
